CKCSC & AKC GCHS. CHADWICK JET SETTER AT HUDSONVIEW, JW  – “TRIP”

From the beginning it was hard to deny that he was something special.  He is as cheeky as he is handsome.   Every time we stepped in the ring, he has in equal parts delighted and embarrassed me.    But despite all of his antics his quality always shined through.

He earned his Junior Warrant at 7 months out of the Jr. Puppy Class.   At 10 months, he thrilled me with a Reserve Best In Show at the CKCSC – Cavaliers of the Midwest show under Tanja Engel (Angels Pride-GER).  He celebrated his 1st birthday by finishing his AKC Championship with 4 majors – the final 4 points as BOW under Judge Lamont Yoder (Woftam-US) at the Meadowlands Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Specialty.  Winner of the 2017 CKCSC Puppy of the Year at 16 months under Judge Robert Lamont (Moorfields-Ireland).  Trip finished his CKCSC Championship at 19 months in style with a Reserve Best In Show under Judge Pat Lander (Jayba-US).

What has made this journey so special is the opportunity to share it with Anne and Trip’s sister DD.  The siblings have competed for numerous Best Puppy In Shows.  We’ve had great fun traveling and engaging in the banter that comes with sibling rivalry.

Trip is natural showman.  He has outgrown most of his puppy antics but he will still take flight in the ring.   Trip is an absolute delight to live with and is the apple of my eye.  I am amazed by what he has accomplished at such a young and and look forward to showing him as an adult.

Very attractive and eye-catching young boy, most appealing head, large dark eyes, nicely framed lips, true jet black pigment and lovely ear-feathering, all together gives him the adorable soft expression. Very balanced in body, ideal size, excellent chest, level topline, moves very well coming and going, coat in excellent condition, expertly handled. A perfect toy spaniel just right for his age, not too overdone, nor too little compared to the standard, showing a lot of promise, I’m sure he will have a bright future. “Adorable Blenheim boy with loads of personality that shows in everything he does. Such a proper Cavalier type and attitude. He has a lovely head with large, dark, round eyes. Very dark pigment. High ear set. Lovely neck and straight topline and correct tail set right off his back. Tail that never stopped wagging as well, which I love to see. Compact shape and well proportioned. His movement was strong from all angles, especially the rear. Strongest rear in the class, and one of the best of the day. Deep, rich coat color that was presented beautifully.
